TuVida’s Young Carers Notts service is today launching a dedicated ID card for young carers living in Nottinghamshire and the City of Nottingham, as part of Young Carers Action Day.
The Young Carers ID Card has been developed to help raise awareness of young carers and let people such as doctors, pharmacists, and teachers know about their caring responsibilities and give them the confidence to ask for help.
The card will also offer discounts to young carers at certain shops, cinemas, sports and leisure facilities and food outlets.
The card has been designed by local young carer Max Brentnall. Max won a competition held by Young Carers Notts to create a design for the ID card, and Max’s ‘Young Carers Are Out of This World’ planets design was voted as the winner!
To apply for a Young Carers ID card, you must be a young carer living in Nottinghamshire or the City of Nottingham and registered with Young Carers Notts.
